ICEX - Arctic Submarine OperationsIce Exercise (ICEX) is an exercise conducted in the Beaufort Sea and led by Arctic Submarine Laboratory, in order to maintain expertise in Arctic-specific skills, knowledge, equipment, and procedures to enable the submarine force to safely and effectively operate in the Arctic Ocean environment.
As the designated Submarine Warfare Division representative for Arctic affairs from 2010-2012, Accordant Federal founder Jeffrey Payne conducted an onsite budget analysis at the ICEX camp. Payne also represented Submarine Warfare Division on Task Force Climate Change, which seeks to develop strategy for Navy operations in Artic Waters. |
